Drawn to the Capital to witness the vote on the Columbia River Crossing project (the project still has several more votes here and in Washington State before ground is broken) I found Salem and the capital building extremely pleasant. I picked up a little history (the capital building is the third, the first two having burned down), got some work done in Café at the Capital, and met up with a couple friends. Afterwards I went to the Ike Box coffeeshop to take care of a client emergency website update – I wanted to stay longer, and will surely return!
